Castle Terms of Service

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and the operators of Castle, and they take effect when you download, install, or open the app on an Android phone, Android TV, or Fire TV Stick. They exist to keep the service lawful, stable, and fair for every household, and continued use means you accept them. The agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Copyright Act, 1957.

What Castle is

Castle is an Information Location Tool: a neutral search index and directory for entertainment that is already public on third-party platforms across the open internet. Under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Castle is a passive intermediary protected by Safe Harbor. It does not host, upload, transcode, store, or transmit any media files on its own infrastructure. Every link, poster, and synopsis in the app points to content on autonomous third-party servers, and ownership of those works stays with their rightful owners under the Copyright Act, 1957.

A free service

Castle is free to use, and the full directory is open to every guest without registration. The app is kept running through light third-party advertising rather than any subscription, so there is no paywall between a household and the catalogue. No charge, login, or membership is required to browse, play in 1080p, or move between the phone and the television.

Supported devices

Castle is engineered solely for the open Android ecosystem: Android smartphones, Android TVs, and Fire TV Stick devices. It is not built, licensed, or supported for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or other non-Android hardware, and it is not a native Windows or macOS application. A viewer who runs Castle on a desktop through a third-party Android emulator such as BlueStacks or LDPlayer accepts the stability factors that virtualization introduces, including thermal load, driver issues, and performance shifts beyond our control.

Eligibility and household use

Because the index is broad and unfiltered, Castle is intended for users aged 18 and above, or for minors only under the active, continuous supervision of a parent or guardian. Where Castle is installed on a shared household screen, such as a living-room Android TV or a communal Fire TV Stick, the adult who owns the device takes responsibility for the material accessed through it and for overseeing who may use it.

Acceptable use

You are granted a personal, revocable, non-transferable, and non-commercial licence to use the Castle directory. You may not resell or commercially exploit access, decompile or reverse-engineer the APK, embed the player or its streams in other sites or services, or run automated scrapers and bots against the index. Any attempt to disrupt or overload the service results in immediate blocking and may carry civil liability under applicable Indian cyber law.

Live events, interruptions, and jurisdiction

Castle is offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis, with no guarantee of uninterrupted service. Because the links it indexes resolve to third-party hosts, stream quality depends on those hosts and on your own internet provider. During marquee events such as IPL matches or World Cup fixtures, upstream hosts may slow or fail under national demand, and some ISPs throttle traffic of their own accord; buffering, resolution drops, and mobile data charges in those moments fall outside our liability. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India, in New Delhi or Mumbai, and enquiries may be raised through our online support portal.
